Aquitaine on the west Atlantic
coast of south-western
France is a vast and varied region.
It boasts great vineyards and areas of
spectacular beauty such as the
Dordogne. At one time independent of
the rest of France, it has a great
historical past and modern day industry
and tourism interests. The districts
included in this region include
Dordogne, Périgueux, Gironde Bordeaux,
Landes Mont de Marsan, Pyrénées
Atlantiques, Pau, Lot et Garonne and
Agen. The capital town is Bordeaux, made
famous by the eponymous wine. As with all of France the
local currency is the Euro. Whether
renting property to move or
holiday here, more information about
Provence can be found
here.
