Provence on the Mediterranean
coast of south eastern
France borders with Italy. It
has a varied landscape ranging from the
coastal hinterland to the high peaks of
the Alps. The climate of
Provence is typically Mediterranean,
warm and dry. However winter and Spring
can often see temperatures brought low
by the legendary Mistral - a strong,
cold wind from the north. This results
in the higher regions of Provence
getting snow in winter. Summer time can
see temperatures soar as high as 44°C.
Tourist sights (and indeed sites) abound
as Provences' past in steeped in
Roman history.
As with all of France the
local currency is the Euro. Whether
renting property to move or
holiday here, more information about
Provence can be found
here.
